MRS. ADENIJI OLUWATOYIN- DIRECTOR, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Adeniji Oluwatoyin (Mrs) is the Deputy Director, Community Development Department, in the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development.

An indigene of Epe Town in Lagos State, Mrs Adeniji Oluwatoyin was born in Lagos. She started her academic career at Army Children Primary School, Ann’s Barracks, Yaba Lagos State in the year 1975. Upon completion of her primary school education, she proceeded to Command Secondary School, Ikeja Cantonement in 1981, where she obtained the Secondary School Leaving Certificate in the year 1986.

Mrs Adeniji proceeded to Igbobi College, School of basic Studies in Ikorodu to write her A levels examination betwwen 1987 to 1988, afterwards she proceeded to.

Afterwards, Mrs Adeniji Oluwatoyin proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University to study English Language between the years 1988 and 1993, where she bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language.

Upon completion, she proceeded for the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps programme in 1994. She was posted to Phoenix Oil Company, Victoria Island, where she worked as a Front Desk Officer and was retained until year 2000 to work as a Depot Representative with NNPC in Ejigbo.

In the year 2001, she joined the Lagos State Civil Service as Community Development Officer 1 and was immediately deployed to the Ministry of Rural Development, between years 2001 and 2004.

Mrs Adeniji was posted to the Ministry of Women Affairs, where she served till 2012 and was later redeployed to the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, between the years 2012 and 2019.

She also served as Director, Operations with Lagos State Neighbourhood and Safety Corps (LSNSC), between 2017 to 2021; after which was redeployed to the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, where she serves as Deputy Director, Community Development Department till date.

In 2022, Mrs Adeniji proceeded to the Lagos State University to further her education, where she bagged a Masters in Social Work.
