MR AJAYI OLUFEMI AYODELE- DIRECTOR, BOUNDARY MATTERS

Mr. Ajayi Olufemi Ayodele was born on 19th June 1965. He attended the Lagos State University, Ojo and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics in 1990. He is a member of the Institute of Charted Economists of Nigeria. (ICEN)

He was employed by the Lagos State Civil Service on August 1991 into the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue (LSBIR) as Inspector of Taxes II, Grade Level 08 and posted to the Lagos Island Local Government, City Hall Tax Office.

He was posted to Aguda Tax Office in 1994. In 1999, he was posted to the Alausa Secretariat where he served in the Tax Audit Department.  In 2001, he was posted to the Jebba Tax Office as Deputy Head of Station.  In 2003, he was posted to Orile Iganmu Tax Office where he served as Deputy Head of Station. From there, he was posted to Ikoyi Tax Office as Deputy Head of Station, where he eventually became the Head of Station.

In May 2006, he was posted to the Stamp Duties Tax Department, Alausa Secretariat.

Following a reorganization of the LSBIR, he was deployed to the Ministry of Finance in April 2007, where he was converted to the Auditors Cadre.

After the mandatory training for Auditors at the Ministry of Finance, he was posted to Education District I, Dairy Farm Estate, Agege as the Resident Internal Auditor. In 2008, he was posted to the Lagos State Video and Films Censors Board as an Internal Auditor.  From this position, he obtained another Conversion into the Administrative Cadre.

After the Conversion, he was posted to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, now the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Human Resources and Administration Department where he served in various capacities first as an Administrative Officer in the Department, Head of the Admin and Human Resources Department, Secretary, Lekki Free Trade Zone Community Relations Committee.

This was a body set up by the Lagos State Government to serve as an interface to ensure peaceful relations between the communities of Lekki and Epe on one hand and the Lekki Free Trade Zone Company and Dangote Oil Refinery on the other hand.

He also served at the Office of the Special Adviser, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, as the Head of the Job Creation Unit. The mandate of this Unit was to research and collate data and statistics about the Informal Sector Job Creation activities of all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the Lagos State Public Service.

In 2014, he was posted to the Public Service Office (PSO), where he served in the Public Service Staff Performance (PSSP) Department and later Head of the PSSP Department. The mandate of the Public Service Staff Performance Department was to process appeals and petitions from across the Public Service and in collaboration with the Office of Transformation and Creativity and Innovation (OOTCI), design and implement Staff performance evaluation systems and models for members and staff of the State Civil and Public Service.

Between March 2015 to February 2017, he was head Career Management Department (CMD), Audit Service Commission, (ASC), Deputy Head at the Admin and Human Resources Department, Lagos State Physical Planning Authority (LASPPA), and Head, Admin and Human Resources Department Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

In February 2017, he was posted to the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs where he is currently serving as the Head,  Boundary Matters Department, a Department charged with the management  of boundary disputes and issues among communities and Local Governments Councils in Lagos State, the management of boundary issues with Ogun State, situated on the northern and eastern borders of Lagos State, and in concert with the National Boundary Commission (NBC), the management of the State” International boundary with Benin Republic on its western border and its international waters boundary on the Atlantic Ocean to the South.

He  is happily married with children.
